What We Do

Martial Arts To Suit Everyone

As Doncasters largest Martial Arts Club, we have a wide range of activities for you to choose from. We are not a “Jack of all Trades – Master of none” centre. Far from it. A lot of our instructors have held titles at National, European and World levels, which means that we have the experience to help you progress at whatever level you choose.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)

(BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint-locks and choke holds to defeat the other person. With both Gi and No Gi variants taught at Doncaster Martial Arts Centre, we are definitely the place to train for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Doncaster.

Doncaster Martial Arts Centre has multiple instructors who hold Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Owner Neil White, Neil Owen and Paul Murphy to name a few.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate, Muay Thai and Western boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport.

Our Kickboxing lessons are taught by Nicky and Toby (Adults) and Chris and Olivia (Juniors). Nicky is a former World Kickboxing Champion and she gladly gives her knowledge to the students that are striving to improve their Kickboxing skills.

Judo

Judo (meaning “gentle way”) is a modern martial art, combat and Olympic sport. The philosophy and subsequent pedagogy developed for judo became the model for other modern Japanese martial arts that developed from koryu. The worldwide spread of judo has led to the development of a number of offshoots such as Sambo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Mick Pearson is our Judo coach and he holds a black belt 4th Dan.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Mixed Mmartial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that has been made popular with the emergence of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

We have two MMA coaches – Paul Murphy and Paul Rodgerson who are some of the most experienced MMA coaches around. We also have several professional and semi professional MMA fighters training at Doncaster Martial Arts Centre, who benefit from the wealth of knowledge that is readily available from ALL of the instructors.

Boxing

Boxing is one of the oldest combative techniques, going back as far as 687 BC. Boxing evolved from 16th- and 18th-century prizefights, largely in Great Britain, to the forerunner of modern boxing in the mid-19th century, again initially in Great Britain and later in the United States.

Our Boxing instructor is former professional heavyweight Neil Malpass. Neil has an entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the only boxer to knock an opponent clean over the top rope of a boxing ring!!!

White Collar Boxing

Learn to box in eight weeks, whilst raising money for charity and then enter the ring for a contest of three rounds to put all your hard work into practise. That’s what is on offer here at Doncaster Martial Arts Centre in conjunction with the Ultimate White Collar Boxing Company.

Our Boxing instructor is our resident boxing coach Neil Malpass.
